Associate Professor (Research and Education), with particular specialism in Dyslexia

You will contribute across the School’s undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes, including supporting the Dyslexia and Literacy Difficulties (AMBDA) and MA Inclusion programmes - located in the School’s Department of Disability, Inclusion and Special Needs, the largest education provider in disability education in the Europe, and sector leading in the field of inclusion and special needs, being the only professional development provider for all statutory Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in the UK.  Through conducting interdisciplinary research, they continue to tackle social injustice, challenge misconceptions about disability and work to campaign vociferously to remove barriers to learning and employment. The role will entail contributing at a senior level to teaching, research, and administration; contributing to academic citizenship, teaching; developing and advising others, including; providing expert advice to staff and students; supervising and examining PhD students, and developing and advising others on learning and teaching tasks and methods.  Also Research Management and administration is likely to include Departmental/School leadership and management activity with University wide involvement.
