Outreach and Learning Officer

You will lead all engagement, learning and participation activity associated with the “Decarbonising Steam: A Pathfinder Project for Heritage Rail” initiative.  The role will ensure that schools, community groups, volunteers, visitors and partners are fully involved before, during, and after the construction and installation of new environmental technologies at the Motive Power Depot. You will also play a key role in delivering the wider aims of the project as set out in the NLHF application, supporting engagement, learning, interpretation and sector-sharing activity to ensure the project delivers lasting public benefit; and support the National Lottery Heritage Fund’s investment principles by: widening inclusion and participation, improving access to heritage, developing learning opportunities around engineering, decarbonisation and STEAM subjects and supporting long-term organisational sustainability.
