Student Support Assistant

The friendly first point of call and to work with the wider team to deliver the best student experience and support for students during their studies, you will be working alongside a team of Support Advisers and Case workers helping to ensure academic progress, student retention and widening participation.  Some key responsibilities: responsible for providing clear advice, guidance and signposting for students, and staff; with knowledge in university procedures and policies to advise students appropriately will work alongside wider university teams as required support open days; provide excellent customer service as a first point of contact, greeting and welcoming students in a friendly and welcoming manner, via front desks duties and over the phone; escalate cases as required if they are more complex and therefore needing case management. In addition, they will flag risk to appropriate managers in a timely fashion; be responsible for inbox and telephone triage work for SWS, connecting students promptly to the correct team.
