Pro-Vice-Chancellor

This appointment represents an exciting opportunity to establish and lead one of the University's two faculties following the strategic combination of two existing Faculties into a single integrated academic community. Bringing together a broad portfolio of disciplines across the arts, humanities and social sciences, the Faculty will provide a vibrant environment for interdisciplinary collaboration, outstanding education, internationally recognised research and civic and global engagement. The Pro-Vice-Chancellor will provide inspirational academic leadership across the Faculty whilst contributing institutionally as a member of the University's Executive Group, helping to shape the future direction of the University during a period of significant opportunity and change. You will hold a substantive Professorial appointment within an appropriate academic department. Main duties will include: Strategic Leadership; Faculty Leadership; Education; Research and Innovation;Financial and Operational Leadership; External Engagement; Institutional Leadership. You will Chair and contribute to University committees as appropriate; lead cross-University strategic initiatives on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor; act as an ambassador for the University and promote its values internally and externally.
